We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join our finance & accounting team. In this role, you will take ownership of our general ledger, lead month-end close processes, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of GAAP, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of improving accounting workflows. This is a hybrid position based out of our Tampa, FL headquarters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Prior experience in a senior or lead role is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) Google Sheets and experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical thinking, high attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Great Plains, OneStream, BNA, CoStar, Blackline.
  • CPA a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
  • Assist the close process by creating journal entries, tracking fixed assets, and managing accruals.
  • Perform complex balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations to ensure general ledger accuracy.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing necessary schedules, workflows, and supporting documentation.
  • Evaluate current accounting procedures and recommend ways to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
  • Provide guidance, review work, and help train junior accounting staff.
  • Assist management with budgeting, variance analysis, and special financial projects as needed.
