Requirements

  • Bachelor s Degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Experience in balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement preparation within a large accounting group.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accounting information by analyzing, recording, verifying, consolidating, entering, and monitoring transactions.
  • Prepare trial balances and financial statements.
  • Produce payroll.
  • Support external auditors.
  • Help team members.
  • Leads the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting.
  • Maintain records of organization's financial activity in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
  • Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
  • Support and assist junior accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.
  • Financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, journal entries and month end close.
  • Analyze monthly gross profit and reconcile distribution system reporting to financial system reporting.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly; communicate across departments and corporate accounting to resolve outstanding items.
  • Review balance sheet accounts prepared by corporate accounting and resolve outstanding items.
  • Monitor asset acquisition, transfer, and disposition activities.
  • Prepare corporate schedules quarterly.
  • Prepare interim and annual external audit schedules.
  • Support internal and external audit activities, as required.
  • Prepare monthly sales tax returns.
  • Link all journal entries with appropriate backup to document number.
  • Resolve internal and external customer issues and inquiries in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.
