About The Position

This role involves partnering with the Corporate Controller to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. The Sr. Accountant will lead month-end close activities, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and identify opportunities for process and control improvements. The position also supports budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives. Guidance and support to junior team members may be required, along with taking ownership of priorities and adapting to changing business needs.

Requirements

  • CPA designation (required).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with experience handling intercompany transactions and large datasets using PowerQuery.
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting and month-end close.
  • A proactive, action-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
  • Availability to commit to the full six-month contract.

  • Experience handling intercompany transactions and large datasets using PowerQuery.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Corporate Controller to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the business.
  • Lead month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting and account analysis.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records while identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the Finance team when required.
  • Take ownership of priorities, adapt quickly to changing business needs and jump in wherever support is needed during this critical period.
