Sr Accountant, Royalties

HasbroBoston, MA
$85,600 - $128,400Hybrid

About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team responsible for the accounting for Hasbro's global network of licensees across categories such as merchandising, publishing, digital gaming, casino, and location-based entertainment. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Royalties, you will own core royalty accounting, close, and control activities — and, just as importantly, help build a stronger, more efficient way of running them. This is a role for a strong accountant who is not content to run the process as-is. We are actively modernizing how royalty accounting works — strengthening controls, simplifying processes, and raising the bar on accuracy and efficiency — and you will be a driving force in that effort. Success in this role means seeing a manual, repetitive, or fragile process and making it better, pairing that instinct with disciplined, reliable execution. Effective from the date that Hasbro opens its new Boston location, this position will be onsite Tuesday – Thursday at Hasbro’s new HQ location in Boston, MA. In the interim, this position will be onsite Tuesday – Thursday at Hasbro’s HQ in Pawtucket, RI or at Hasbro’s temporary location in Boston, MA.

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls / Sarbanes-Oxley concepts.
  • Comfort and curiosity with systems and technology, and eagerness to use tools to work more efficiently and reduce manual effort.
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting contracts; knowledge of the licensing industry or royalty accounting is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP and BlackLine preferred.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines.
