This is a customer facing role responsible for the day-to-day communication, program penetration, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth within assigned customers to meet business objectives. Target accounts are small to mid-size.

  • Identify and size opportunities.
  • Gain sector agreement on initiatives.
  • Maintain approved business plan initiatives in Hyperion.
  • Perform monthly forecasting and reforecasting in Hyperion.
  • Own regular business plan reviews with internal and external audiences.
  • Reinforce current performance and key actions required for business plan initiatives in regular sector touch bases.
  • Explain year-over-year billable variances, inflation/PPI impacts, and other business context required by Foodbuy Finance and sector stakeholders.
  • Participate in monthly Pre-VAP Calls led by Foodbuy Finance.
  • Contribute to the Finance-owned Sector VAP slide deck.
  • Review auto-populated business plan financials and complete required fields where business context, risks, and AM recommendations/inputs are needed.
  • Lead division-level VAP reviews as agreed upon with Sector stakeholders.
  • Perform purchasing deep dives for specific accounts as needed.
  • Participate in sector stakeholder reviews such as QBRs where AM judgment, recommendations, or relationship management are required.
  • Maintain direct engagement with Sector stakeholders via regular meeting cadences (i.e. culinary/purchasing touchpoints, attending sector summits, executing account visits, etc.).
  • Share conversion and other value-capture opportunities (i.e. growth incentives, new Category-led initiatives) with sector stakeholders as they arise.
  • Add opportunities to the business plan where appropriate.
  • Follow established processes to request market basket and ZBM analyses as needed to validate opportunities.
  • Share results with Sector Purchasing stakeholders and help guide sector decisions.
  • Collaborate with Category, Distribution, Compliance, Culinary Implementation, vendors, and Sector stakeholders on the execution of value-capture opportunities and initiatives.
  • Support new contracting efforts with the review of new sourcing triggers.
  • Educate Sector stakeholders on the trigger submission process.
  • Help coordinate back-of-house (BOH) autoshipment plans with Sector stakeholders.
  • Gather sector preferences on BOH products for autoshipments, quantities, and shipment timing.
  • Route the proposed sector plans to Category to confirm vendor capacity and alignment.
  • Confirm funding amounts to be received for BOH autoshipment participation.
  • Communicate confirmed BOH autoshipment plans with Analytics Team.
  • Develop and manage marketing/business-partnership fund plans.
  • Lead regular marketing discussions with Sector stakeholders.
  • Monitor execution of activities and support payout alignment.
  • Coordinate meetings with vendors.
  • Request Category Manager to trigger invoices and confirm fiscal period for sector payout.
  • Update Finance accordingly.
  • Lead the strategic and relationship-management components of sector acquisitions, including Foodbuy introduction, market baskets, conversion opportunities, and Foodbuy program integration.
  • Submit sample requests and approved Exception MOG requests through the designated Compliance process as needed.
  • Serve as a sector champion for broadline and supplier transitions, RFP/rebid activity, product cuttings, and special events.
  • Elevate new sector needs to the appropriate internal teams for support.

Responsibilities

Activities that require meetings with vendors should be coordinated by the sector and the vendor with Account Manager participation optional.
  • As activities are completed, request Category Manager to trigger invoices and confirm fiscal period for sector payout. Update Finance accordingly.
  • Lead the strategic and relationship-management components of sector acquisitions, including Foodbuy introduction, market baskets, conversion opportunities, and Foodbuy program integration.
