Our MedCom Commercial team is expanding, and we’re looking for a driven Business Development professional to help us grow our footprint across the European market. This role is key to positioning our company as the preferred provider of post-approval medical communication services to biopharma and biotech accounts. You’ll be at the forefront of prospecting new opportunities—supported by a dedicated inside sales team—while building strategic relationships that elevate our brand and unlock long-term partnerships. Whilst experience with MedCom services is desirable, it is not mandatory; if you have a solid background in the CRO space and excel at direct sales, we’ll provide full training on our MedCom service offering. Senior Account Director Business Development – Medical Communications Summarized Purpose: The Senior Account Director Business Development secures and retains business for PPD through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors. Positions PPD as a primary or preferred provider for Medical Communications work to be outsourced. Qualifies deals and develops proposals including defining the solutions and recommending pricing structures to meet strategic company goals. Serves as the primary contact until work is sold, then coordinates with the relevant medical communications area(s) to ensure a successful implementation. Acts as a liaison between sponsor and company on all business development activities and requirements. Gathers data on marketing trends and competitive products/services and pricing.
