About The Position

The Sr. 1 Mechanical Technician will report to the Supervisor and support plant operations by performing repairs, fabrication, troubleshooting, and PLC programming to reduce downtime and enhance machinery efficiency.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prefer minimum of 6 years previous experience.
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Nice To Haves

Vocational education certificate, associate's degree or equivalent, journeyman certificate or license desirable.

Responsibilities

Attends schedules Department Safety and Training meetings.
Available for overtime, call-ins and rotating schedule.
Willingness to learn and upgrade skill level.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Willing to handle job stress and interact with other in the workplace.
Plan and carry-out tasks to accepted National and Local Standards and Codes
Planning and achieve job tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to train and lead other personnel effectively.
Perform job task without supervision.
Ability to properly fill out necessary paper work associated with work orders and historical files.
