About The Position

SQL Server DBA Data Warehouse Technical Lead for Mauser Packaging Solutions Holding Company. This role may work remotely or report to the Information Technology hub in our regional location in Atlanta, GA. The position involves installing, configuring, monitoring, and tuning SQL Server databases, minimizing production downtime, and ensuring optimal database operations. A key aspect of this role is liaising with the Power BI development community to build, enhance, and maintain tables and data views that support end-user reports. The Technical Lead will also develop and maintain the backup strategy for the database environment, ensuring alignment with Disaster Recovery requirements and upholding Mauser Security standards for database configurations. Daily responsibilities include production support, monitoring, and actioning incidents and requests within the ServiceNow queue. This role provides technical thought leadership in the development of the Global data warehouse environment, collaborating with IT resources to implement optimized solutions and interacting with business and technical functions to ensure a high level of responsiveness and effective communication with business users.

Requirements

Bachelors in Comp Sci or related field and 5 yrs relevant exp in IT and required skills (4 years exp); or Master in Comp Sci or related field and 2 yrs rel exp in IT and required skills (2 years exp).

Responsibilities

Install, configure, monitor & tune SQL Server databases (DBs).
Minimize production downtime & ensure optimal DB ops.
Liaise with Power BI dev community to build, enhance & maintain tables & data views to support end user reports.
Develop & maintain back-up strategy (aligned with Disaster Recovery reqs) for the DB environment.
Ensure DB standards & configs to support Mauser Security standards.
Daily production support: monitor & action incidents / requests in ServiceNow queue.
Provide tech thought leadership in development of Global data warehouse environment.
Liaise with IT resources to implement optimized solution.
Interact with business & tech functions for high level of responsiveness.
Interact with business users, using effective and collaborative communication skills.
Use all rel tech tools & processes.
