Requirements

  • Relevant education (engineering, computer science, IT, sciences) or equivalent experience.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in IT or systems engineering, including 5 years in infrastructure or DevOps.
  • Experience designing, evolving, and operating complex platforms.
  • Experience in matrixed, agile, and DevOps environments.
  • Advanced infrastructure platform skills: automation, reliability, security, CI/CD, observability.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
  • Deep knowledge of agentic AI and related governance considerations.
  • Bilingualism (French / English).
  • Occasional availability outside regular hours; participation in an on‑call rotation may be required.
  • Occasional travel depending on project needs.
  • Oracle expertise — Oracle 11.1, 11.2, 12.1, 12.2, 19c, 23ai.
  • Advanced Oracle technologies — Exadata X11M, Oracle RAC, Partitioning, Grid Infrastructure, RMAN.
  • SQL Server & BI — MSSQL, SSIS, DTS, BI tools.
  • Additional databases — MySQL Community, PostgreSQL, DB2.
  • Specialized tools — Toad and other DBA utilities.
  • SQL optimization — Query analysis and performance tuning.
  • PLSQL programming — Development and optimization of PLSQL code.

  • Define infrastructure architecture; Establish the vision, architectural models, and technical standards for core platforms.
  • Guide technology decisions; Arbitrate strategic choices and steer major technical orientations.
  • Standardize and optimize operations; improve reliability, efficiency, and automation across environments.
  • Resolve complex issues; Handle critical incidents and define long‑term prevention strategies.
  • Act as a technical reference; Develop team expertise, provide mentorship, and offer technical support.
  • Integrate emerging technologies; Evaluate and adopt new technologies to strengthen competitiveness.
  • Design scalable platforms; Build resilient, cost‑optimized platforms aligned with product team needs.
  • Enhance developer experience; Create optimized workflows (golden paths) and reduce infrastructure complexity.
  • Define continuity strategies; Develop disaster recovery, resilience, and chaos engineering plans.
  • Deploy AI‑augmented operations; Integrate AIOps, develop automated agents, and ensure proper AI governance.
  • Collaborate across teams; Work closely with security, development, product management, and leadership.
  • Drive technological change; Support major transformations (cloud, SRE, modernization) and mobilize teams.
