About The Position

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a SQL Database Analyst on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission. The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

Requirements

  • Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.
  • Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 5 + years of related database analysis and/or administration experience.
  • SQL experience required.
  • Experience in SQL administration/tuning; including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions (Windows Server Failover Clusters, SQL Server Failover Cluster instances, and AlwaysOn Availability groups).
  • Experience in monitoring, creating, and managing SQL server agent alerts.
  • Experience with Database backup, restore, migration, and Database snapshot technologies/strategies.
  • Knowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse data.
  • Knowledge of Oracle 11g and 12c administration and performance tuning.
  • Migration experience with MySQL and PostgresSQL.

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle database administration a plus.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems.
  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  • Sets up administrator and service accounts.
  • Maintains system documentation.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
  • Provides advice on performance tuning and training to end-users.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
