SQA Engineer

About The Position

We are looking for a skilled SQA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software platform. In this role, you will work closely with our development and product teams to design, execute, and automate tests that help us deliver a bug-free, user-friendly product to our customers. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for quality, an eye for detail, and a desire to contribute to a culture of excellence.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience as an SQA Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Proficiency in a programming or scripting language, such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • A basic understanding of the hospitality industry and related technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans for new features and bug fixes.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and improve our CI/CD pipeline.
  • Document and track software defects in our bug tracking system (e.g., Jira), providing clear, detailed, and reproducible bug reports.
  • Ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality by performing thorough regression tests.
  • Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and designers to understand product requirements and ensure quality is built into the development process.
  • Have efficient ways to document and track system behavior. Does not have to be a system expert but must be very knowledgeable.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving our QA processes, tools, and overall software development lifecycle.
