About The Position

SQ Data Specialist Technical & Engineering Consulting LLC is seeking a qualified SQ Data Specialist to support Source Quality operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. The SQ Data Specialist will serve as a key resource for maintaining accurate, compliant, and traceable supplier-quality data within ERP/SAP systems. This position will support supplier quality, purchasing, receiving inspection, and material-management processes while serving as a point of contact and subject matter resource for ERP quality data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Analytics , or a related quantitative or technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP quality-management and/or material-master processes preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Quality Management (SAP QM), supplier quality, purchasing controls, and/or receiving inspection strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within a regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, or similar quality-controlled environment is preferred.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, Quality, or other relevant continuous-improvement training/certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain supplier-quality master data and transactions within ERP/SAP systems for externally purchased materials and products.
  • Create, modify, review, and deactivate ERP change-control proposals related to purchased raw materials and products in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Verify supplier, site, material, purchasing organization, plant, inspection, and release-related data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability.
  • Execute approved system updates associated with supplier qualification, supplier-status changes, new material introductions, specification or inspection-plan revisions, change controls, and material discontinuations.
  • Perform periodic data-quality reviews to identify missing, duplicate, obsolete, or inconsistent QIR and supplier-quality records.
  • Investigate and resolve data issues affecting purchase orders, goods receipt, inspection-lot creation, material acceptance, inventory status, and release of purchased materials or products.
  • Support controlled mass-data updates using approved templates, workflows, service tickets, and validated system tools.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and objective evidence of requests, approvals, reviews, system changes, and completion in accordance with data-integrity and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Coordinate with Source Quality and business process owners to ensure quality requirements are accurately translated into ERP master data.
  • Create and follow up on system-access, master-data, incident, and system-enhancement tickets.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system validation, and implementation activities as assigned.
  • Provide procedural guidance and training to authorized users regarding QIR and supplier-quality data processes.
  • Prepare metrics and reports related to ERP change requests, aging, completion status, data accuracy, exceptions, and recurring issues.
  • Support investigations, nonconformances, CAPAs, change controls, and continuous-improvement initiatives involving supplier-quality data.
  • Support internal, external, and regulatory audits through record retrieval, explanation of data controls, and completion of assigned actions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable procedures, specifications, system changes, purchasing controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Escalate compliance, data-integrity, business, and supply-continuity risks to appropriate management.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned.
