About The Position

Supervises staff and daily work activities within the activities department(s).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education
  • Four years' experience
  • Proof of motor vehicle liability insurance that meets minimum state requirements upon hire and upon request.
  • Constant standing.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
  • Frequent walking, reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting/moving patients.
  • Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Occasional driving.
  • Rare crawling.
  • Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment.
  • Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
  • State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin
  • Driving Record - Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) And Driver’s License State of Issuance

Responsibilities

  • Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
  • Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Assists with hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and termination procedures.
  • Coordinates delivery of patient care and/or services with other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
  • Participates in direct delivery of care depending on patient census.
  • Completes patient evaluations and treatments as needed.
  • Participates in ongoing short and long range planning to help ensure the organization's social services needs are met.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with federal and state regulations, regulatory agencies and third-party payers.
  • May operate a specially equipped vehicle to transport residents in a safe manner to their correct destination; ensuring wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment is operated properly.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
