Requirements

Measure, cut, and bend various sizes of pipe and tubing to required angle/length using pipe cutters and benders.
Threading and assembling pipe of various thicknesses, and finishes.
Groove and assemble pipe.
Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications.
Install valves, hangers, supports and flanges in piping systems according to plans and applicable specifications.
Assemble, install, and repair piping systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes.

Responsibilities

Assist with coordination of materials, labor, and equipment.
Order, inventory, and receive material.
Responsible for training and developing apprentices.
Ensure all safety procedures and quality standards are followed.
Work with other departments as needed.
Lead crews on both small and large projects.
Communicate with customers, project managers, and estimators regarding job status.
Adhere to company safety standards and policies.
Train apprentices and craftsman on the job.
