About The Position

1st Fire Protection Services, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Foreman for their Waco office. This role involves servicing and updating fire sprinkler systems in commercial buildings, primarily in new construction environments. The position requires working exposed to the elements, heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry installing sprinkler systems including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pump.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Ability to work on ladders and lifts up to 50 feet tall.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Experience with power machine, threader and other essential tools.
  • Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Some electrical work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, direct, and delegate tasks to fitters and helpers to meet project completion deadlines and scheduling requirements.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service, strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain truck inventory.
  • Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Perform physical labor including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Utilize power machinery, threaders, and other essential tools.
  • Work in difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, and working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
