About The Position

Ahern has an exciting opportunity for Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice to join the Sprinkler Fitter Apprenticeship program working for our Omaha, NE location. This is a 5-year apprenticeship program working side-by-side with a journeymen sprinkler fitter installing automatic fire protection systems. Your employment relationship will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement. Apprentices will complete on the job training and a 5-year correspondence course towards becoming a journeyman sprinkler fitter.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license along with a clean driving record to operate company vehicles
• Pass appropriate drug screen and physical
• Self-starters
• Strong mechanical background
• Good working and learning attitude
• Able to work in a fast paced construction environment

Responsibilities

• Install automatic fire protection systems
• Complete on the job training
• Complete a 5-year correspondence course towards becoming a journeyman sprinkler fitter
