About The Position
The Technology Consultant 1 will contribute across the software development lifecycle, supporting the development, integration, testing, and maintenance of software applications. The role involves gathering and documenting stakeholder requirements, participating in design discussions, developing code according to specifications, executing test plans, reporting defects, integrating features, and monitoring and troubleshooting live applications. The position also requires maintaining documentation of coding practices, testing methods, and technical solutions. The preferred-skill section describes responsibilities for leading architecture, design, and development of full-stack applications using Spring Boot and Angular; implementing microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures; and designing, deploying, and optimizing applications on Microsoft Azure. The role also includes technical and code reviews, collaboration with architects and business stakeholders, mentoring developers, supporting planning and releases, and ensuring application performance, security, scalability, and reliability. The position is with Infosys Digital Experience, a unit focused on creating integrated, personalized, human-centered digital platforms and customer experiences. The role may require relocation and/or travel to a work or project location. Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role now or in the future.
Requirements
- Experience with Java Spring Boot and Angular.
- Hands-on experience in Java and microservices development.
- Hands-on software development experience using Java Spring Boot and Angular.
- Agile mindset with effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work across most areas of the software development lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive specialty experience in lieu of each year of education.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role now or in the future.
Nice To Haves
- Extensive hands-on experience with Angular v12 or later, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Strong experience with Java 11 or later, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and microservices.
- Expertise in REST APIs, API Gateway, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and performance optimization.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or large-scale enterprise applications.
- Exposure to cloud migration, modernization, and DevSecOps practices.
- Passion for innovation, proactive production-issue monitoring and resolution, continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and team development.
Responsibilities
- Assist with targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs and accurately document stakeholder requirements.
- Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications and help create process documentation.
- Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications in accordance with detailed design specifications and user requirements.
- Execute test plans, analyze outcomes, and report defects to the development team.
- Support integration of new software features into existing system infrastructure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, resolve issues promptly, and document system maintenance.
- Document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions for the team's knowledge repository.
- Lead architecture, design, and development of full-stack applications using Spring Boot and Angular.
- Drive implementation of microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.
- Design, deploy, and optimize applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Conduct technical design and code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to define scalable solutions.
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across workstreams.
- Support estimation, sprint planning, release management, and production deployments.
- Ensure application performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
