About The Position

Make your mark on Jewish student life by joining Hillel San Antonio as the Springboard Fellow. You will build one-on-one relationships with students, plan and execute engaging events and programs across campus, and help inspire students to make a commitment to Jewish life. At Hillel San Antonio, students are eager to explore meaningful Jewish experiences, and your role will help shape a dynamic community that fosters #AllKindsofJewish. You’ll be at the heart of student engagement, creating programs that spark curiosity, connection, and leadership. You’ll collaborate with student leaders, staff, and campus partners to bring fresh ideas to life, while learning how to nurture and sustain a meaningful Jewish community. This role is integral to Hillel San Antonio's success because you’ll help set the tone for how students experience Jewish life, ensuring it’s accessible, exciting, and transformative. You'll wake up each day (or at least most) genuinely excited and enthusiastic about creating an inviting place that inspires students to explore, experience, and build vibrant Jewish lives. This is so much more than your average 9-to-5.

Requirements

  • 0 -3 years professional work experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit. Things may not always go according to plan, and you must be willing to take risks and learn from your wins as well as your losses.
  • Confidence in initiating and running programs, and comfort in asking questions.
  • Excitement to continue developing your own relationship to Judaism.

Nice To Haves

  • Recent college grad
  • Experience as a participant and maybe even as an educator in a Jewish educational setting.

Responsibilities

  • Build meaningful connections with students to foster engagement and community.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support large-scale campus programs and events.
  • Collaborate with staff and student leaders to develop new initiatives.
  • Strengthen professional skills in leadership, programming, and project management.
  • Meet with students from different cohorts and demographics on campus to engage them, identify their interests, and connect them to opportunities.
  • Map out a plan to strategically build one-on-one relationships with 100 students currently not engaged in Jewish life.
  • Supervise student interns who are responsible for engaging their peers in Jewish life on campus.
  • Co-Teach Jewish Learning Fellowship
  • Support large-scale High Holiday events and Israel engagement programs, helping with planning, execution, and student engagement across campus.
