About The Position

This position involves securing the foundation within the furniture frame using manual and powered tools. The role requires tying springs together manually using the 8-way method and securing all components into place within the frame according to specifications using manual and powered hand tools. Maintaining an orderly and safe work area is also a key responsibility. This is a full-time, non-exempt position located at Arhaus Upholstery in Conover, NC.

Requirements

• Manufacturing Experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to safely use power and woodworking tools.
• Must be able to use arms and hands for long periods of time.
• Must be able to read an order ticket and pattern.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including the ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues are required.
• Strict attention to detail is a must.
• Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
• Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
• Must be reliable.
• Must have strong English language skills, including: Reading, Comprehending, Speaking, Writing.
• Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.
• Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in furniture manufacturing.
