About The Position

Tempur Sealy is seeking a Box Spring Assembler to join their team. This role involves upholstering boxspring units by stapling padding and fabric onto coil spring units. The work is typically performed in a team of two, where individuals build the box spring assembly before it is covered. The assembler will lift a 10-pound grid and place it on wooden slats on a waist-high table, then use modified staplers/nail guns to secure the assembly. The completed assembly is then lifted onto a stack. The team's production rate is approximately 60 units per hour.

Responsibilities

• Upholster boxspring units by stapling padding and fabric on coil spring units.

• Lift a 10-pound grid and lay it on wooden slats on a waist-high table.
• Use modified staplers/nail guns to tack the assembly in place.
• Lift the completed assembly off the table onto a stack.
