About The Position

The Spreader is responsible for matching fabric and cut sheets to ensure the correct fabric is used. This role involves loading spreading equipment with fabric, building spreads for cutting by operating spreading equipment, and maintaining quality standards of edges. The Spreader will also pull spread work down the table for the cutting machine, measure fabric, and check spreads for defects, ply height, and against cut tickets. Additionally, the role requires completing paperwork detailing yardage, number of rolls used, dye lot, and roll information. Other duties may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 45lbs
• Must be able to read & write (English Language)
• Must be able to work in standing position for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work a production shift with overtime as necessary (i.e.: flexible hrs)
• Detailed oriented
• Must be organized and able to follow instructions
• Other responsibilities as required

Responsibilities

• Match fabric and cut sheet to ensure correct fabric is being used
• Load spreading equipment with fabric

• Pull spread work down the table for cutting machine
• Measure fabric and check spread for fabric defects, counts ply height and checks fabric against cut tickets
• Complete paperwork listing; yardage, number of rolls used, dye lot and roll information
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
