About The Position

Twenty View Farms is a trusted agricultural services provider located in Smithville, Ontario, dedicated to supporting local farmers throughout the growing season. Our team delivers comprehensive agronomy, planting, spraying, harvesting, and grain marketing solutions, operating as both a licensed grain dealer and ag inputs retailer. As a Sprayer Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and productivity of our clients' crops by expertly applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other crop protection products. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency in all spraying operations, while collaborating with both field and office teams to optimize workflow and product management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience operating agricultural spraying equipment or similar machinery
  • Experience performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on agricultural equipment
  • Knowledge of crop protection products and safe application practices
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
  • Agricultural Exterminator licence (Ontario) or willingness to obtain it
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions
  • Ability to work long hours during peak season
  • English proficiency sufficient to read chemical labels and complete required records
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Operate self-propelled sprayers to apply fertilizers, pesticides, and crop protection products according to agronomic recommendations.
  • Follow strict safety protocols for handling and applying chemicals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Calibrate equipment to achieve accurate application rates and coverage, minimizing waste and maximizing effectiveness.
  • Maintain detailed records of spray activities, equipment maintenance, and product usage for regulatory and operational purposes.
  • Assist with spray planning, including field route optimization and product coordination.
  • Coordinate with office staff to manage product inventory and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on spraying equipment to ensure operational reliability.
  • Support other operational areas as needed, such as equipment maintenance and deliveries during off-peak periods.
