About The Position

Finishes whitewood frame to specified color and/or finish utilizing knowledge of wood properties and finish.

Requirements

• Must be able to repeatedly bend, lift, stoop, push and pull raw frames.
• Required to stand
• Must be able to use sprayer to apply proper finishes within quality specifications.
• Must be able to read tickets and job notes.
• Must be able to see color and be able to visually match finished product to sample.

Responsibilities

• Use schedule to pull frame.
• Read tickets and/or job notes prior to finishing to verify correct finish.
• Lift frame onto finishing table.
• Apply correct finish by following specifications by using spray gun.
• May wipe excess stain and/or hand brush excess stain.
• Use sand paper to scuff frames if needed.
• Apply lacquer to preserve finish.
• Inspects frame for runs and/or other imperfections.
• Remove frame from table and push to Frame Inspection.
• Maintains neat and orderly work station.
• Wears required safety glasses; works safely and reports unsafe conditions to Dept. Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
