About The Position

This is a seasonal position from September 15th to November 25th, 2026, for the Agro Department located in Brandon, MB. The role involves operating spray equipment, applying crop protection products, and providing customer service. The company is Heritage Co-op 1997 Ltd., a member-owned business focused on serving its members and communities.

Requirements

Knowledge of agricultural chemicals, crop protection products, and chemical mixing procedures.
WHMIS training is required or willingness to obtain.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Commitment to ongoing learning and development within the agriculture industry.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift and carry items up to 23 kg (50 lbs.).
Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, and operating agricultural equipment for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

High school education is considered an asset.
Previous agriculture, sprayer operation, or farm equipment experience is considered an asset.
Customer service experience is considered an asset.
Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, product knowledge, and order processing; collaborate respectfully with Team Members to support a positive work environment and deliver a World Class Customer Experience.
Safely operate spray equipment and accurately apply crop protection products in accordance with company procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and all applicable regulations.
Load sprayer tanks, mix agricultural chemicals as required, maintain spray records, and ensure accurate documentation of product applications.
Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure equipment remains safe, efficient, and operational.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following Occupational Health and Safety, WHMIS, environmental, loss prevention, and security procedures.
Work closely with the Agro Manager, Supervisors, and Team Members to support operational goals, meet customer needs, and maintain Heritage Co-op Brand Standards.
Participate in seasonal operational activities and perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Agro Centre.
