About The Position

This role involves applying fertilizer and chemical applications, maintaining spray records, and ensuring the proper upkeep of spray equipment. The technician will also be responsible for calibrating equipment and, over time, diagnosing pest and fungus issues. The position requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to perform simple math.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid South Carolina driver's license
• Ability to obtain South Carolina pesticide license within 12 months of obtaining position
• Willingness to attend continuing education seminars and classes
• No problems wearing spray applicator suits, full face respirators, or chemical resistant apparel
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Able to do simple math
• Willing to learn
• Detail oriented
• Keep area neat and organized

Nice To Haves

• Secondary studies in turf, agronomy or insects

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizer and chemical applications
• Update spray records, inventory and MSDS sheets
• Calibrate spray equipment and fertilizer spreader
• General upkeep and maintenance on spray equipment
• Diagnose pest and fungus issues (over time)
