Requirements

Proven experience as a Fireproofer or in a similar role.
Knowledge of fireproofing materials, methods, and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good physical condition and stamina to perform manual labor.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Certification in fireproofing or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

Apply fireproofing materials to structural steel and other surfaces in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
Prepare surfaces for fireproofing by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
Mix and apply fireproofing materials using spray, trowel, or brush techniques.
Inspect completed work to ensure proper application and adherence to safety regulations.
Maintain and clean equipment and tools used in fireproofing applications.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members and other trades to ensure project completion within deadlines.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
