About The Position

A Spotter is responsible for observing work activities and identifying potential safety hazards to help prevent accidents and injuries. They provide guidance to equipment operators and workers during lifting, moving, or high-risk tasks. Spotters maintain clear communication, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and help create a safe working environment. They also report unsafe conditions and support overall site safety efforts. Drives trucks or tractors at vehicle parking or loading docking area in order to move, position or park trailers.

Requirements

  • Able to read, write and speak English
  • Able to sit for 8 hours
  • Able to lift and carry 70lbs
  • Must have a valid and clear driving record
  • Must pass a DOT Physical

Responsibilities

  • Drives trucks around dock area for Transportation Company or department
  • Spots (positions) loaded or unloaded trailers at assigned docks for unloading or loading using tractor
  • Connects loaded trailers to tractors for delivery drivers
  • Fuels tractors
  • Assists workers in loading and unloading truck and trailers
  • Maintains truck in proper working condition
  • Other duties, as assigned
