About The Position

The Spotter I is responsible for performing essential duties satisfactorily, requiring specific knowledge, skills, and abilities. This role involves applying common sense to carry out instructions and deal with problems in standardized situations. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for candidates with related experience or training in driving semi-trucks. Strong language and reasoning skills are necessary, along with the ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and communicate effectively. The role also requires maintaining a valid State Issued Driver’s License and Commercial Driver’s License status, with a Class A CDL being preferred. Physical demands include frequently lifting and moving over 100 lbs and specific vision abilities. The work environment involves regular work in outside weather conditions, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, vibration, and occasional work near moving mechanical parts or in wet/humid conditions. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience driving semi.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must possess and maintain State Issued Driver’s License.
  • Must possess and maintain Commercial Driver’s License status.
  • Good driving skills required.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the location to which they apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Class A CDL License is preferred.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Experience driving semi.
