About The Position

This role supervises all wagering policies of the Race & Sports books, ensuring adherence to AML & Title 31 procedures. The position oversees the function of all personnel in Sportsbook Operations to maximize productivity, providing coaching, guidance, and instruction. Responsibilities include administering evaluations, performance reviews, and merit compensation, as well as maintaining work schedules and overseeing personnel development (hiring, training, discipline). The role involves developing and managing the operating plan to meet forecast goals for operating expenses, ensuring betting limit guidelines are followed, and monitoring competitors' practices and technological innovations. The position also requires staying aware of legislative actions affecting business opportunities, ensuring customer recognition and development are priorities, and verifying that departmental procedures comply with all regulatory requirements and provide maximum security for company assets. Additionally, the role ensures facilities and equipment are available and functioning properly, and resolves disputes by following house rules and collaborating with local regulatory bodies.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements.

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • 2 years supervisory experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.
  • Must be able to work any day, any shift.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Betting limits guidelines are followed.
  • Monitors competitors’ practices and technological innovations affecting the Race & Sports book betting industry.
  • Remains aware of legislative action affecting business opportunities.
  • Insures customer recognition and development are foremost duties for all personnel, using tools available appropriately.
  • Ensures that departmental procedures conform to all regulatory requirements and provide maximum security for the company’s assets.
  • Assures facilities and equipment are available and functioning properly.
  • Resolve any disputes by following posted house rules and working with local regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
