About The Position

William Hill U.S., America's leading sports book provider, has immediate openings at its sportsbook. This role is for a full-time Sportsbook Ticket Writer at the Stratosphere LV. Reporting to the Sportsbook Manager, you will be the face of our retail operation. Your primary responsibility is to provide a high level of customer service to both regulars and novice bettors, ensuring everyone feels welcome. You will also act as an expert on our sports betting options, advising customers and answering their questions to help them make informed, responsible decisions.

Requirements

Flexible availability
Basic computer knowledge (Email, MS Excel, internet, etc.)
Minimum of 1 year of cash handling experience in a work setting
21+ years of age or older
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to obtain a gaming license from the Gaming Control Board and other jurisdictions if deemed necessary
High level of customer service
Ability to work a flexible schedule: nights, weekends, and some holidays
Professional presentation
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to do simple math
Understanding and responsibility to adhere to all compliance requirements set forth by the company and Gaming Control Board
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Able to lift, pull or push 25 lbs.
Able to write for extended periods of time
Able to twist, bend or reach with no significant boundaries

Nice To Haves

H.S. Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Provide a top tier level of customer service that encourages customers to come back repeatedly
Ensure adherence to all rules and regulations set forth by the company and gaming control board
Become familiar with betting options and engage customers in conversations about them
Resolve customer disputes/complaints and escalate to direct supervisor when needed
Be a positive team member and work collaboratively with other team members and leadership
Ensure all necessary paperwork/documentation is filled out accordingly to company policy and gaming control board standards
Other duties as assigned
