Sportsbook Floater - Full Time (Reno/Sparks)
About The Position
This is a full-time position that requires travel to different locations to verify funds on property and cover various roles, shifts, and locations within a 25-mile radius. The role involves accurately processing race and sports wagers on the POS system and kiosk, becoming familiar with betting options, and engaging with customers about them. A key aspect of the job is providing top-tier customer service and adhering to all company and government regulations. The position also includes managing sports betting equipment, assisting with day-to-day sportsbook operations such as scheduling, training, and mentoring staff, and fostering a high-performance, compliant, and family-style service environment. The individual will be a positive team member, working collaboratively with others and leadership, and performing additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic computer knowledge (Email, MS Excel, Internet, etc.)
- Ability to do simple math
- A minimum of 1 year of cash handling experience in a work setting
- 21+ years of age or older
- Must be willing to work at various locations within a 25-mile radius, often at a moment's notice
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible availability
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Understanding and responsibility to adhere to all compliance requirements set for by the company and Nevada Gaming Control Board
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage a diverse range of activities and effectively prioritize responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Travel to different locations verifying funds on property
- Cover different roles, shifts, and locations within a 25-mile radius
- Accurately process race and sports wagers on the POS system and kiosk
- Become familiar with our betting options and be able to strike up conversations with customers regarding those options
- Provide a top-tier level of customer service
- Ensure you adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the company and government agencies
- Maintain all aspects of our sports betting equipment
- Effectively assist and manage the day-to-day activities and business levels of the sports book: scheduling, training, and mentoring staff, and fostering an environment focused on high performance, compliance, and family style service
- Be a positive team member and work collaboratively with other team members and your leadership team
- Additional duties as assigned
