Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Must have outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Must understand the menu.
  • Must enjoy hosting others.
  • Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.
  • Able to promptly and accurately follow instructions given by Supervisor or Manager.
  • Must qualify for licensing by Ohio Lottery Commission.
  • Must be able to work as a team.
  • Must be able to tolerate a high stimulus environment.
  • Must be able to work at a very fast pace and walk long distances throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must have open availability including all three shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
  • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
  • Must be comfortable and capable learning new software.

Responsibilities

  • Fostering a fun environment.
  • Being a gracious host to all guests and co-workers.
  • Promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events.
  • Ensuring interactions with internal and external guests follow the guidelines of the ACES Service Program.
  • Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervening as needed according to company policy and T.I.P.S training.
  • Promoting gaming events and promotions.
  • Processing cash and credit card transactions for guests while maintaining the integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.
  • Maintaining a clean and stocked workstation.
  • Complying with state, company, and department policies and regulations.
  • Creating and maintaining a seating chart at the direction of your supervisor or manager.
  • Ensuring rotation is done correctly.
  • Utilizing Host Concepts software to ensure fairness and accuracy in seating.
  • Utilizing the ACES Service Guidelines, seating and offering a warm and friendly farewell.
  • Rolling silverware and cleaning during down time.
  • Performing opening and closing side work at the direction of your supervisor or manager.
  • Helping team members ensure guests are served in a timely manner.
  • Serving tables, clearing tables, expediting and running food when needed.
  • Assisting with bussing tables.
  • Keeping the restaurant and host stand clean, organized and sanitized.
  • Understanding and articulating the menu to guests.
  • Working special events, as needed.
  • Performing other duties, as needed.
