The Badger Athletic Performance Program is hiring a Sport Science Fellow to provide data collection and reporting services for high-level athlete populations. The Fellow will work closely with the Badger Athletic Performance Program and specific sports team staff to ensure successful data collections and advancement of athlete care. This position will primarily be responsible for biomechanical and neuromuscular testing of elite athletes at a team facility and will also contribute to ongoing athlete consult testing at the Badger Athletic Performance facilities. An ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, strong experience collecting biomechanical and other athlete performance data, and experience with data visualization and generating reports or dashboard. Prior experience creating custom data visualization code (e.g., R, Matlab, Python,) and working in high-level strength and conditioning or sports medicine settings is strongly preferred but not required. Badger Athletic Performance embraces both independent and collaborative workstyles. Our general approach is to empower individuals to work independently following thorough and hands-on training and onboarding, while also having regular meetings with collaborators and support staff within the department to foster a strong team environment.
