Position is for post-graduate training in a structured occupational therapy fellowship program under the supervision of a Fellowship Director and other occupational therapists. Through the training program, the incumbent assesses patients, develops and initiates treatment plans based on the results of the evaluation. The evaluation may include measurements of neuromuscular and skeletal functions. Provides direct patient care. Documents findings, progress and instruction to patients and caregivers. In addition to clinical practice, the fellow will receive mentoring and didactic training over a 12 month period. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient served. He/she must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to the different life cycles.
