About The Position
The Citizen is seeking a sports reporter to join its award-winning staff in Auburn. The role primarily focuses on covering high school sports across nine area districts, with additional coverage of college sports, the Auburn Doubledays summer baseball team, and the Great Race relay event. The newspaper is published three times a week, but the main focus is on digital content for auburnpub.com. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, as well as the ability to capture photos and video of games and athletes. A camera will be provided.

- Ability to write compellingly about games and athletes.
- Ability to take photos.
- Ability to take video.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a bachelor's or master's program in journalism.
- Experience working at a news publication.
