About The Position

Multnomah Athletic Club is seeking a vibrant, dedicated, fully on-site, full-time Sports Pub Lead Line Cook to join their team in their casual dining restaurant, The Sports Pub. In this role, the cook will prepare delicious dishes, maintain a spotless workstation, and contribute to a positive dining experience for the club's members. This is a full-time, fully on-site position.

Requirements

• One year of experience as a line cook or in a similar position.
• A valid food-handler’s permit.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.
• Culinary techniques, knife handling, and sanitation.
• Proficient in using all kitchen equipment and a keen understanding of sanitation practices.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• A friendly demeanor and the ability to build strong relationships with coworkers.
• Ability to stand for long shifts 100% of the time in high temperature environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• A culinary arts degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food products consistently according to established recipes.
• Set up station and prep daily ingredients.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly workspace that meets health department regulations.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, reporting any hazards or injuries.
