About The Position

Looking for an innovative and detailed-oriented producer who can conceive, edit, and execute sportscasts with a strong knowledge and passion for Chicago sports. This role involves working under deadline demands to help build compelling segments for a virtual reality studio in collaboration with other sports producers, anchors/reporters. The producer will prepare, coordinate, and edit material for daily sportscasts, develop enterprising story ideas and segments, and may field produce as needed. Proficiency in non-linear editing and sports scripting writing is required. The role also requires knowledge of digital/social media platforms and the ability to contribute to station strategies, as well as logging televised sports events and interviews. A commitment to accuracy, fairness, and ethics is essential.

Requirements

• Proficient non-linear editing skills and sports scripting writing.
• Must be knowledgeable in digital/social media platforms and ability to add to station strategies.
• Must have strong knowledge of Chicago-area sports and history.
• Creative, organized, and ability to work in a team atmosphere.
• Line producing skills.
• Experience with non-linear editing is a must.

Nice To Haves

• Edius edit system knowledge, a plus.
• Experience with non-linear shooting, a plus.
