Qualified candidates must be ready to hit the ground running, creating high-quality content for KING 5 Sports and the news department - under challenging deadlines. Requirements
- 1-3 years' experience video editing in a newsroom, knowledge of Edius
- Strong graphic creation skills
- Writing experience on linear and digital platforms
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Creatively and efficiently edit content including packages, bold opens, mobile shorts, specials, and teases for linear, digital, and streaming platforms.
- Edit high-impact sports specials featuring innovative and energetic graphics that showcase our sports partners: the Seahawks, Kraken, and Mariners.
- Operate non-linear edit systems, experience with Edius and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects & Photoshop)
- Have strong organizational skills with the ability to co-produce content.
- Provide a confident, risk-taking, creative vision
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Uphold personal integrity, teamwork, accountability, problem solving and a strong work ethic
