The Department of Family and Community Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University seeks a fellowship-trained sports medicine physician as a faculty member in the Division of Sports Medicine and Exercise Medicine (DS&EM). The faculty member will work closely with the Division Director to establish a robust sports medicine clinical practice, serve as a role model for clinical excellence and productivity, and support the clinical, professional, and career development of sports medicine fellows. The role also involves mentoring medical students and residents interested in sports medicine, collaborating on research and scholarly activity, participating in community service initiatives, and assisting in the recruitment of fellows. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Jefferson has a rich history of excellence in Sports Medicine, hosting an ACGME-accredited fellowship since 1996. The Sports Medicine Division provides comprehensive services including musculoskeletal care, nutrition, exercise, and training recommendations, and supports patients managing chronic conditions. They also collaborate with orthopaedic surgical partners for seamless referrals.
