About The Position

WKRK 92.3 The Fan, the home of the Cleveland Browns and the city’s sports authority, is seeking a passionate, tech-savvy intern. This isn't a "get the coffee" role—you will be in the trenches of a major-market sports station. You will learn the architecture of live sports radio while executing a modern digital strategy that involves video production, social storytelling, and sports journalism.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the U.S.
Resident of Ohio and/or enrolled at an accredited post-secondary school in Ohio.
Interning at the station for the first time.

Responsibilities

Assist producers in researching daily topics, pulling audio clips (sound bites), and scouting guest ideas.
Shadow board operators to learn how to manage live levels, trigger imaging, and ensure FCC compliance.
Use in-studio cameras to record shows and pull viral moments from live broadcasts.
Edit raw video into short-form content for station social channels.
Learn to clip, title, and upload show segments for YouTube, 923TheFan.com, and podcasts for the Audacy app.
Write SEO-friendly articles summarizing breaking Cleveland sports news or major guest interviews for 923thefan.com.
Assist in managing real-time social media updates during Cleveland sports events and breaking news cycles.
