The Sport Clubs Coordinator provides leadership, vision, and supervision for the daily operations and management of a comprehensive Sport Clubs Program comprised of 30 nationally competitive sport teams averaging a total of 150 team officers, 1,200 team members, and 60 coaches each academic year. The Coordinator is responsible for personnel management, training, and scheduling for an average of 20 student staff with varying levels of responsibility who work a combined 160 hours per week. This position involves daily management and delivery of Sport Club activities at multiple on and off-campus venues. The Coordinator is responsible for direct, daily oversight of club travel, club purchasing, and club financial administration. The Coordinator assists the Assistant Director, Sport Clubs in the daily administration, supervision, and management of the overall Sport Club program, focusing on comprehensive training, development, and leadership opportunities for student staff. This daily administration involves close coordination with the Assistant Director and includes but is not limited to communications to clubs, deadline enforcement, policy enforcement, request approvals, activity approvals and general advising for clubs, officers, coaches, athletes, and staff. The Coordinator works collaboratively with department colleagues to facilitate event operations and logistics within the Campus Recreation Department, Division of Student Affairs, and throughout the University to benefit students. The Coordinator is committed to promoting Campus Recreation values of inclusion, community, integrity, and development by creating a welcoming environment in department facilities and via programming to a diverse University population. Some weekend hours dependent on programmatic offerings, University calendar, area requirements, or department/university events are required. Campus Recreation is an auxiliary unit in the Division of Student Affairs. Campus Recreation provides wellness and healthy lifestyle-oriented programs, events, and services to Colorado State University students and employees via seven program areas: Student Recreation Center, Aquatics, Fitness, Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, Outdoor Programs, and Climbing Wall. Seven service work units, Service Center, Business Office, Information Technology, Communications/Marketing, Custodial Services, Equipment Management, and Maintenance support the program service functions to provide seamless customer service to CSU students, employees, and their families. Campus Recreation facilities, programs, and services promote a sense of community, support student development through leadership and employment opportunities, and encourage the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle to a diverse University population.
