SPORTS CLUB COACH (For Hire Only)

About The Position
This position classification will be used by the Duke University Athletic Association to distinguish coaches for club sports.
Requirements
- OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Possess a valid American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certification or have the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Teaching technical skills, coaching the sport during practices and competitions, and preparing club members to participate in the sport.
- Ensure all club participants are compliant with Sport Club risk management requirements and possess the ability to understand and implement provided risk mitigation strategies.
- Attend an annual training to learn about Duke University and Sport Club policy and procedure and ensure compliance of Duke University and Sport Clubs procedures.
- Counsel and advise Sport Club officers on the direction and operations of the club and provide opportunities for leadership and personal growth and development of club participants.
- Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants of all skill levels, backgrounds, and identity groups.
