Sports Bar Server
About The Position
Provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to restaurant guests, restaurant staff, and culinary production team. Helps guests select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions. Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude. Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording guest choices and identifying guest special dietary needs and special requests. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, drink orders, and being alert to guest spills, and other special needs. Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to guest. Maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards. Deep cleans restaurant equipment (tables, chairs, booths, soda and juice dispensers, coffee machines), as scheduled, or required. Operates and maintains equipment as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Excel both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
- Must be able to obtain a Bossier ABO and LACT.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum six months to one year of food server experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant preferred.
