About The Position

This is a full-time position responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment within the sports bar. The role involves promoting excellent guest service, monitoring for potential issues, enforcing policies, and assisting management and security personnel as needed. The position requires adherence to company policies, regulatory laws, and safety codes, while maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy work environment. The security officer must remain calm under stress and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months of Security, Law Enforcement, or Military service experience.
  • Effective communication auditory acuity, able to respond to questions and provide information.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Stand or walk for long periods; physically detain disorderly guests as needed, perform routine bending and lifting of product up to 20lbs.; perform repetitive motions of arms, hands, wrists, and fingers; occasionally lift and maneuver up to 50lbs.; and works in the varied (hot, cold, noisy, smoky) environment.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  • Must possess or obtain Food Handlers and OLCC certificates within 30 days of employment.
  • Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Promote exemplary guest service standards through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
  • Check the ID of all guests who look below the age of 30.
  • Help keep assigned areas and walkways clear of empty cups and trash.
  • Prevent customers from leaving or entering the casino and alcoholic-free areas with alcoholic beverages.
  • Assist management in identifying potential issues, including intoxicated customers, possible altercations involving customers, and/or any illegal activity.
  • Cut off and remove any alcoholic drinks from an intoxicated customer and follow established notification procedures.
  • Assist casino security in the removal of problem customers from the casino.
  • Enforce alcohol service times with guests, assist with closing time, and remove alcoholic beverages.
  • Fill out the alcohol incident log book at the end of each shift and any security reports as needed.
  • Make sure minors stay on the assigned pathway through the casino floor.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests, and promptly report all concerns to the manager.
  • Adhere to company policies, regulatory laws, codes, department procedures, and safety codes.
  • Ensure that operations of equipment, tools, and materials are handled safely.
  • Promote internal guest service standards with courteous and respectful behavior with co-workers.
  • Keep calm and level-headed under stressful situations.
  • Obtain a First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
