About The Position
KFSN-TV/ABC30 Action News, the ABC Owned Station in Central California, delivers top-rated news coverage across television, digital, social, and streaming platforms. The team is committed to impactful storytelling, breaking news, and community engagement. We’re looking for an outstanding Sports Anchor/Reporter who excels at covering local sports from the anchor desk and out in the field. This role requires a highly organized and proactive self-starter who can help guide the station’s coverage of high school, college, and professional sports. The successful candidate must be able to plan, shoot, write, and edit their own stories and produce their own sportscasts. They must collaborate closely with KFSN-TV/ABC30’s other sports anchor to break big sports stories and ensure all major events are covered.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work well under deadline pressure.
- Strong organizational/planning skills.
- College degree.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Central California.
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Dalet.
Responsibilities
- Cover local sports from the anchor desk and out in the field.
- Guide the station’s coverage of high school, college, and professional sports.
- Plan, shoot, write, and edit their own stories.
- Produce their own sportscasts.
- Collaborate closely with KFSN-TV/ABC30’s other sports anchor to break big sports stories and ensure all major events are covered.
- Represent KFSN-TV/ABC30 at community events, promotions, and speaking engagements.
