About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This position will help support the growth of the Football academy, including new opportunities in Fargo and Rapid City. The Specialist is responsible for all clinic and academy activities specific to the football specialty, managing daily activities of skill development, and scheduling of facilities and court/field time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. In lieu of degree, may consider six years applicable work experience.
  • Minimum of two years skills training and/or coaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily activities of all sporting skill development, scheduling of facilities and court/field time.
  • Instruction and preparation of curriculum for skill training and successful growth of all aspects of the academy.
  • Oversee all levels of skill development and must be well-versed in all phases of teaching specific designated sporting skills.
  • Possess strong administrative skills to ensure the teaching of established program objectives consistently throughout the academy.
  • Effectively schedule practices, workouts, clinics, camps and tournaments.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, athletes and Sanford Sports administration.
  • Cover training hours at any time of day, which could include weekends and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned.
