About The Position

The Sports Coordinator enhances the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches by building relationships with players, parents, and coaches and ensuring instructional aspects of the program are delivered. The role involves observing, assessing, and assisting coaches, with hands-on participation in practices and games across age groups and skill levels. The coordinator also oversees the designated sport’s game-day operation and promotes fundamentals, skill development, sportsmanship, and fun.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and solve problems.
• Awareness and ability to take charge of situations to ensure player safety.
• Positive attitude and strong ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and some evenings, throughout the approximately six-week season.

Responsibilities

• Empower volunteer coaches to lead practices focused on fundamentals, skill development, and fun.
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.
• Supervise the overall operation of the designated sport on game day.
• Observe, assess, and assist coaches.
• Build relationships with players, parents, and coaches.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and provide superior customer service.
• Take charge of situations as needed to ensure player safety.
