About The Position
The Sports Coordinator enhances the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches by building relationships with players, parents, and coaches and ensuring that instructional aspects of the program are delivered. The role involves observing, assessing, and assisting coaches, as well as hands-on involvement in practices and games across age groups and skill levels. The coordinator also oversees the designated sport’s game-day operations.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills.
- Sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge.
- Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently and solve problems.
- Awareness and ability to take charge of situations to ensure player safety.
- Positive attitude and strong ability to build professional relationships.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and some evenings, for the full duration of the approximately six-week season.
Responsibilities
- Empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focused on fundamentals, skill development, and fun.
- Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.
- Supervise the overall operation of the designated sport on game day.
- Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills.
- Build relationships with players, parents, and coaches.
- Observe, assess, and assist coaches.
- Participate hands-on in practices and games among all age groups and skill levels.
