About The Position

This position is an Extra Duty/Extra Pay (EDEP) role for a Girls Basketball Sponsor at Truman Middle School. The sponsor is responsible for providing a safe environment for students, ensuring adherence to district and school policies, securing the meeting space, and maintaining student records. This role requires meeting outside of normal school hours and submitting necessary paperwork for approval and record-keeping.

Requirements

• Must meet outside of the normal school day.
• Complete club application form & submit form to the building principal for final approval.
• Take roll and keep a roster of all students participating in the club.
• Contact parents if students are absent more than twice without parent notice.
• Keep hours/attendance on the provided sheet & return to the office at the end of each semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment for students to conduct their meeting/activity.
• Ensure that district and school policies and procedures are followed.
• Ensure that room/area is secured and the facility is left in good repair.
• Reserve space for meetings as appropriate.
• Meet outside of the normal school day.
• Complete club application form & submit form to the building principal for final approval.
• Take roll and keep a roster of all students participating in the club.
• Contact parents if students are absent more than twice without parent notice.
• Keep hours/attendance on the provided sheet & return to the office at the end of each semester.
