About The Position

Splunk ITSI Engineer Position Summary We are seeking a Splunk ITSI Engineer to support a DoD customer by designing, implementing, and optimizing Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) solutions within a mission-critical enterprise environment. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for observability, AIOps, and IT operations management initiatives, leveraging Splunk ITSI to improve service availability, predict incidents, and enhance operational performance through real-time analytics and automation.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance.
  • Splunk Core Consultant Certification (Required).
  • Splunk ITSI Accreditation (Required).
  • Experience designing and administering Splunk ITSI in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of observability, AIOps, IT Operations Management (ITOM), and service monitoring concepts.
  • Experience creating service models, KPIs, glass tables, service analyzers, and custom dashboards.
  • Proficiency with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience using command-line interfaces and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with technical consulting, big data analytics, or enterprise monitoring platforms.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or other Federal Government customers.
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, enterprise service management, and incident management processes.
  • Experience integrating Splunk ITSI with other monitoring and observability platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) solutions in secure enterprise environments.
  • Develop service models, KPIs, service analyzers, glass tables, and custom visualizations to improve operational awareness.
  • Configure correlation searches, episode review, notable event aggregation, and noise reduction policies.
  • Implement AIOps and machine learning capabilities to predict incidents and improve service health monitoring.
  • Perform root cause analysis using metrics, events, and service dependency mapping.
  • Build dashboards and advanced analytics that provide actionable operational intelligence.
  • Integrate ITSI with enterprise monitoring tools and data sources to improve observability.
  • Optimize Splunk performance, data models, and ITSI configurations to support scalable enterprise operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and cybersecurity teams to improve system reliability and availability.
  • Document system architecture, operational procedures, and technical recommendations.
